Parke County brings together small town communities and business-friendly government that encourages business expansions, new businesses and entrepreneurial start-ups.  Primarily a rural county with an excellent quality of life, Parke County is home to state parks, reservoirs and recreation areas, in addition to the scenic covered bridges that have made tourism its major industry.  Other industries include pipeline fabrications and installations, pipeline operation, wood and building products and pet food products manufacturing.

Operated by the Parke County Redevelopment Commission, the Revolving Loan Fund has proven to be a successful tool in fulfilling their mission to promote economic and community development for sustained and continued growth through increasing investment in our community.

The purpose of the Business Retention and Expansion program is to connect with existing businesses for the purpose of understanding and proactively responding to the set of needs that are limiting their ability to grow or survive in today's current economic climate.
