Education

Parke County is home to two school corporations - North Central Parke Community School Corporation & Southwest Parke Community School Corporation.  Over 2200 students attend one of seven area schools.  Click below for further details about each corporation and contact information.

Both Parke County School Corporations participate in Parke-Vermillion Education Training Interlocal (PVETI).  PVETI has several career and technical education programs in which students may enroll as well as HSE/GED Classes.  Click below to be redirected to the PVETI homepage for further information about their courses & programs.

Ivy Tech Community College has campuses in Terre Haute and Greencastle and Learning Centers in Sullivan and Parke counties.  The Parke County Learning Center is located along the US 41 N corridor in Rockville.  PCLC offers a variety of programs and services responding to individual, community and workforce needs.

Parke County has a countywide library consisting of the Montezuma Public Library and Rockville Public Library.  Rockville Public Library provides free public computer access, books, e-books, e-services, geneology and children's programs.

A dedicated network of Extension educators, parents, local leaders and volunteer staff, makes Indiana 4-H one of the most valued youth programs in the state. Purdue Extension youth educators develop individual talents, life skills and leadership abilities among Indiana's young people through the traditional venue of 4-H clubs and county fairs, but also through field-tested school enrichment materials and local-led community programs.
